When strength training, also called resistance training, is the issue, a lot of people stick to using the conventional machines and free weights. When used on the proper form and tension levels, the fibers of your muscles will not really know any difference between bands or weights.
The third and the last reason why resistance bands are not that preferred is practically, most people do not know how to use them at all. Using them is actually very simple. Everything is similar with how you use weights. The only different is how the band is positioned. Resistance exercise bands are basically easy to manage, provided that you learn the basics on how to use them.
